The Catholic Foundation of Southwestern Michigan (CFSM) was established by the Diocese of Kalamazoo in 2011 by Bishop Paul Bradley. It is a separately incorporated 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation founded to provide and protect permanent endowment funds for its parishes, schools, and organizations which have a charitable interest.

The mission of the Catholic Foundation of Southwestern Michigan is to provide financial stability and sustainability for Catholic education, parishes, programs, and ministries that serve and strengthen the mission of the Catholic Diocese of Kalamazoo.

The vision of the Foundation is to share the gospel message of Jesus Christ with every person in the Diocese of Kalamazoo by providing significant, permanent sustainable funding for Catholic school education, faith formation, vocations, social outreach and faith enrichment programs.
